Lawmakers seek judicial reform on death liability
At the center of both proposals are constitutional provisions which, in essence, bar the Legislature from imposing limits on the right to sue for injuries or death or the amount that can be awarded. Those two have stood between efforts by those who get sued to put a cap on both punitive damages as well as compensation for non-economic damages like pain and suffering. Harper's proposal, if it goes to the ballot and passes, would affect far more than malpractice cases. It also would let legislators limit what juries pay out to those injured in everything from product liability to environmental damage cases. But Harper said that should not deter voters from repealing the two sections, pointing out that Arizona is one of just a small handful of states that actually has such limits. "I think the voters can recognize that because we were one of the last territories to become a state, our constitution had very anti-business provisions in it,' he said. Harper said that extends beyond legal liability, pointing for example to the requirement that businesses pay property taxes annually not only on land and buildings but also on their equipment. Totalled Vehicle Insurance Payout - News
Employer-sponsored insurance has become much more common in recent years. Premiums from new sales of life, disability, supplemental-medical and other types of insurance sold through work sites totaled an estimated $5.4 billion in 2011,

Looking back on the dividend payout, Stutz and another former GS Technologies officer, Mario Concha, believe it weakened the mill's financial position. "At the time they paid that dividend, they felt that the financials justified it," Stutz said.
Also, Auto Insurance is much different than Homeowners Insurance. If it is the other parties fault and they don't carry Bodily Injury Liability (which only pays after your PIP limit is exhausted), they are still liable for the costs associated with
In 1990, lawmakers proposed a narrower exception to the provisions to allow for no-fault auto insurance, where individuals cannot sue those at fault for accidents but instead buy coverage to protect themselves. That, too, went down to defeat. Rep.

The Lamborghini is off to get some expensive body work in Las Vegas. Luckily Dopp did have the car insured. Matt Hardigree of Jalopnik is reporting that an alleged acquaintance of the owner has told them that Dopp hopes the car is totaled.
Can i cancel my auto insurance after my car has been totalled ...
I got into an accident on the 30th of May, and my insurance company deducts the money from my account every 10th of the month… which will be tomorrow. my car is totalled and i do not have any other vehicles…. and wont have a vehicle for maybe 4 months or so…Do i still have to pay for the insurance or can i cancel it ? thank you
If you're not driving it anymore you can, and should. If they know the car is not driveable anymore, they shouldn't even charge you in the first place.
If it's "technically" totaled, but you're still driving it, you might as well drop from comprehensive coverage you might have, down to a no-fault level, as they're not going to give you any more money if you were to get in another accident.
In my case, they offered me a certain amount if they took the vehicle for scrap. I asked how much if I kept it. It was a couple hundred less, so I kept it and bent the bumper and fender out so they wouldn't rub the tire and kept driving it.
I didn't think to ask until later if they were still charging me for full coverage, which is pointless since it was "totaled" and wouldn't pay out on any claims, and they were. But they refunded the difference.
You can cancel, but they will probably still require a cancellation fee from you.
did you notify them/call and make them stop/why did you wait?stop all autom, atic withdrawels/pay on line from your checking account like i do/i set up checking account to pay automatic/then i can stop whenever i want
You have the option to cancel insurance at any time but i would not recommend going without any insurance coverage. If you have a lapse in coverage of more than 30 days, when you re-apply or try and get new insurance your rates will almost be double just do to the lapse in coverage. You can always get liability only with state minimums to maintain coverage but would not advise dropping coverage all together. Hope this helps!
