Hertz makes CNG vehicles available for rent at Oklahoma State University
OSU and Hertz are no strangers to CNG. The university has 18 CNG buses and another on order, Spradling said. It also has five CNG vehicles in its fleet. Hertz deploys CNG buses from the airport to its Los Angeles, the location of the international airport, with plans to build a CNG fueling station there. Hertz also rents CNG vehicles in Italy and the UK. Hertz offers on-demand electric cars in major markets across the United States, including New York, Washington, DC, and Arizona.
User-friendly
Mukul Gaikwad, a student in industrial engineering at OSU, said the program is simple to use.
He said that it is easy for a Hertz car online or telephone reservations.
Gaikwad rented a car several times, usually to drop a friend at the airport in Oklahoma City or Tulsa.
Hertz spokesman Hecht said the program on demand is free to join. Members receive a smart card chip that will give them access to their rental car.
"It's very friendly," she said.
