Danica to make Sprint debut at Daytona
FORT WORTH, Texas — The decision for Danica Patrick to make her Sprint Cup debut at next year's Daytona 500 was announced Friday — but it was all but decided in July.
That's when Patrick showed her mettle at the Subway Jalapeno 250 aty Daytona, racing with her future team owner Tony Stewart on a day in which she finished 10th at NASCAR's most storied track.
"I got a chance to run with her at July in Daytona at the Nationwide race," Stewart said. "She did a great job, and I think that was part of the reason we felt more comfortable taking her down there. Obviously it's our biggest race of the year. She's ready for that."
She better be, because that's where Patrick and the No. 10 Godaddy.com Chevrolet start her Sprint Cup career on Feb. 26. Patrick and Stewart unveiled her 2012 Sprint Cup schedule and her new car Friday at Texas Motor Speedway.
Patrick plans to run 10 races next season, eight of which were revealed Friday. Following Daytona, Patrick plans to race at Darlington in May before taking some time off from the Sprint Cup schedule.
Patrick, who also is racing full-time in the Nationwide Series next year for JR Motorsports, plans to pick up her Cup schedule again in August at Bristol and follow that with races at Atlanta, Chicagoland, Dover, Texas and Phoenix.
Stewart said the final two races on Patrick's Sprint Cup schedule would be determined later. The eight races selected were done to help Patrick better prepare for a full-time run in the series in 2013, and were picked because of how challenging each track was.
Patrick said she is ready for that challenge.
"The expectation levels sometimes are not as high," she said.
"You have the ability to make mistakes. That's the plan. There are going to be mistakes. There are going to be learning curves. It's big to get that out of the way before we try to do this full-time and really try and put it together.

Finding Cheap Car Insurance in Dallas, TX - NY chistory
First, know that all citizens of Dallas and the entire state of Texas are required by law to purchase car insurance; it’s not an option. The insurance must be obtained through a licensed Texas provider. Some providers offer coverage in multiple states while others are limited to just one or two states or a particular region. So before you begin comparing car insurance quotes, start with companies that are able to provide you with service. Be aware that not all online offers are available in Texas. Also, be sure the quotes you are receiving offer the same amount of coverage for the price being advertised. Some types of coverage besides the minimum liability amount that you might need include collision, comprehensive, towing, medical payments, rental car coverage and accidental death benefit.
Second, understand your state’s liability coverage requirements. If you live in Dallas or any part of Texas, the state of Texas requires that all citizens carry a minimum amount of liability coverage. The amount of Bodily Injury (BI) coverage required is ,000 (per person) or a total per accident of ,000. For Property Damage (PD) coverage, the minimum is ,000 per accident. The “Tort” system is in place in Texas, which means a determination of fault must be made after an accident, and then the at-fault party must cover the damages via their own insurance.
