11:53 a.m. — 9800 block Murray Ridge Road, Ronald Johnson, 28, Elyria, charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in drugs and conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility. He had been picked up and taken to the Lorain County Jail on a separate warrant.

3:57 p.m. — 14100 block Henrietta Township, Clyde Reed, 25, Oberlin, charged with criminal trespass and criminal damaging for allegedly breaking his girlfriend’s mother’s birdbath and coming to her home when told not to.

4:19 p.m. — 1700 block E. 34th St., .38-caliber semi-automatic pistol stolen from home; resident suspects entry may have been through an unlocked window. Resident said nothing else was taken and unsavory friends may have known the window was kept unlocked. Resident, who was moving out, said she last checked on the gun about three weeks ago.

8:22 a.m. — 1100 block E. Broad St., 24-Hour Kwik Wash, the owner reported that a white male in a tan car stole two steel grates from his car wash.
9:07 a.m. — 300 block 10th St., a woman reported someone stole her purse from her vehicle. The purse contained $520 cash, her driver’s license, a health insurance card, her children’s Social Security cards and birth certificates.
9:52 a.m. —100 block Beverly Court, a woman reported a contractor had taken a check for $660.28 from her and never started a job.
11:22 a.m. — 200 block Stanford Ave., a man reported that someone stole copper water pipes that were painted red from the basement of a home for sale. The suspects had broken in through the front door.
11:33 a.m. — 100 block Harvard Ave., a woman reported someone opened her unlocked car and stole about $5 in change.
