Police calls from the Sept. 24, 2011, edition

On Sept. 14, at 3:30 a.m., a female from Savage told authorities that a man had physically assaulted her several days earlier. The responding officer reported that the woman had a bruised right eye. Authorities located the suspect who allegedly assaulted the woman at 11 a.m. that day and took him into custody on probable cause of fifth-degree domestic assault and violation of a no contact order. On Sept. 13, at 4:20 a.m., a 26-year-old man from Savage was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, speed and no proof of insurance. Charges are pending against the man. A patrol officer stopped his vehicle for driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone, and the officer detected the “overwhelming” odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to the police report. The pending charges involve speeding and no proof of insurance. On Sept. 13, at approximately 1 p.m., Savage Police officers received a report of a possible fraud in progress at a Savage bank. The bank did not allow the transaction and the suspect left the scene. When officers arrived, they located the suspect at a nearby gas station. In questioning the man, officers noticed what appeared to be a packet of heroine fall out of his wallet, according to the police report. Charges are now pending against a 22-year-old Eden Prairie man for fifth-degree possession of controlled substance. Shortly after 11 a.m. last Friday, Sept. 16, Savage Police responded to two broken car windows in the parking lot of a fitness business in Savage. Authorities refer to this type of incident as a “smash and grab” theft in which a perpetrator sees something of value in a vehicle by looking through the window, breaks the window and then takes the item(s). Savage Police Captain David Muelken advised people to be observant for anybody suspicious in parking lots and to keep items out of plain view when leaving the vehicle.

Thank you for coming to my blog and website! It means a lot to me. The world of blogging has become a part of my every day life and I love it. You will see everything on my blog...some of my recent photo shoots, some of what's going on in my world and some of what's happening in other peoples lives. It is a true reflection of me well, minus the spelling mistakes. I started blogging a couple of years ago thinking it would be a great way to give my clients instant gratification. (who doesn't want to see their pictures ASAP after a shoot?) I never expected it to get as personal as it has...life took a turn and right after I started blogging one of my friends got pregnant with Sextuplets and I walked through the pregancy, birth, loss and triumph with their family...my blog became a place to share and meet friends! I've never turned back. Of course, when people are getting to know me my name is a big topic. It is actually pronounced "No-Amy" (and yes, I've heard every joke running through your head right now!) Here's the story: I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and my parents were trying to be nice to me by naming me a Spanish name but then changed their plans and moved back to Canada 16 months later. I've had to explain my name ever since. It's me and I wouldn't change it for anything but, I am sorry for the inconvience...it's worth it though!
